Thermoforming mould

Your Specialist for Deep Drawing Tools for Thermoforming Plastic Films

When you don't want the jigsaw blade to rattle in its case, when the nuts of the ratchet screwdriver set should be neatly organized, or when other sensitive parts need to be moved, this often happens in specially made plastic parts that have the exact contours. Or when you store or move special series parts in specially made pallets, plastic deep-drawn parts are always used. The glue, whose tube is held on a cardboard box with a transparent plastic shape, is safely behind a plastic deep-drawn part.

To produce these plastic parts, a film roll is heated and applied with air (vacuum or blow air) to a deep drawing tool that has a negative or positive geometry. Since the tool is directly or indirectly cooled, the warm film solidifies and the molded part is finished.

Thanks to many years of experience in the field of deep drawing tool manufacturing, Neudert is your specialist for the development and production of such tools. These can be simple molds with simple pre-stretching punches to complex tools with cooling systems, vacuum systems for fixing labels, knife milling for integrated scoring knives, and much more. All we need is the desired geometry of the molded part, the connection dimensions in the thermoforming machine, and information about any other requirements. And then the development and later the production of the tools begins.

Neudert – Your specialist for deep drawing tools.

As an example, one can see simple deep drawing tools with which transport pallets for round parts are manufactured. Side stacking lugs can be seen, so that the molded parts can be stacked on top of each other. A simple wooden construction serves as a pre-stretcher for the deep nests.

As an example, consider a deep drawing tool with 5 cavities, each forming a folding container. On the left are the cavities where the product is placed in the tray, on the right is the lid. The groove subsequently forms the folding area, and undercuts are incorporated in the right groove so that the folding lid can snap into the raised edge of the cavity. The molds do not have their own cooling and are screwed onto the cooling plates located in the machine.

Thermoforming set

Your Specialist for Deep Drawing Tools for Thermoforming Plastic Films

A customer approached us with a task: they had an in-house deep drawing machine that had been running with a tool for several years, but they now wanted to introduce a new, different shape to the market for packaging parts.

Although the machine manufacturer still exists, the customer, for personal reasons, did not want to order a new deep drawing set from them. They asked if we could produce a new set based on the old deep drawing set as a template, suitable for their machine.

A deep drawing set includes the film heating element matching the mold, the deep drawing tool with an integrated cooling system, the blow box with pre-stretching plungers, and the sealing tool with a sealing form subassembly. The complete construction was carried out in our company based on the provided samples, as well as the complete manufacturing of the parts, including the appropriate surface treatments such as anti-stick coatings for the sealing tool. The complete electrical assembly was also carried out in our company. The customer received a complete deep drawing set, ready to install in their machine, which can now be used in alternation with the old mold, depending on the product being produced.

Format parts

Format Parts – Everything on its way

Products are regularly adapted to market demands. Shapes change, designs are updated, and different sizes are required by the market. New products with new packaging are meant to attract customers' attention. However, not every packaging solution can be processed by every machine.

One of our clients faced this exact challenge. Their marketing department came up with new ideas constantly, which the technical department had to implement. But purchasing a new machine for every product change is simply not feasible. And unfortunately, when you need new format parts for machines, the machine manufacturer is often no longer in business or has extremely long response times, or the requested price is simply exorbitant.

Neudert was confronted with this requirement and, for this customer who packages bottles, measured their systems and recorded the product paths. Now, switching to a new product is quite simple: the new format, the new bottle is sent to Neudert, the basic design is already available with us, and only the bottle-specific contours are changed. After completion of production, new, different bottles can then make their way through the packaging line.

Neudert, so that every format fits.

Special tools, e.g. for the trade

Custom Tools and Equipment for Craftsmen – We've got your bacon

Custom tools and equipment are a must-have for any craftsman. When the heat is on and you need a specialized tool, don't worry, we've got your bacon.

This is exactly what we did for one of our partners, a butcher.

Adapter: A funnel is to be placed on a machine, although it does not actually belong there. The solution is an adapter.

Underframes, castors, etc.
specially adapted for the existing appliances, flexible with castors, or just as the customer wishes

Shaper for minced meat balls, meatballs.
The red version is available on the market, but the green one is the desired size.

The sausage meat does not always have to go into the sausage skin, sometimes it has to come out again. However, the risk of accidents with the sausage in one hand and the knife in the other is more than high. This is why a device is used to insert the sausage. The pusher is moved once to the other side and the skin is cut open without anyone being injured.

Boot for Porsche tractor

Trunk for a Vintage Tractor – Everything in Its Place

Did you know that a tractor no longer used for agricultural purposes, but instead as a collector's item or vintage vehicle, no longer requires a rollover bar? Practical and aesthetically pleasing at the same time.
However, as with a regular car, you must carry a first-aid kit and warning triangle.

And that was precisely what was not provided for in the beautiful "Porsche Diesel" of a Neudert partner.

So the task was quickly defined: A mount had to be created that fit the attachment points of a Porsche Diesel, naturally painted in the typical red color. A lockable box should be placed on it to hold the warning triangle and first-aid kit.

At Neudert's suggestion, this "trunk" was designed to be large enough to hold a case of drinks and a lunchbox, ensuring that even on longer trips, there is plenty to eat and drink.

Happy travels to all!

For your information:
In Germany, regardless of age, if a vehicle is used as a commercial vehicle, for example, when working in an agricultural company, the driver is only insured by the corresponding professional association during their work if all safety devices (e.g., rollover bars) are installed and all other regulations are observed (written driving order, training, and instruction, etc.).
If a vehicle is not used for work but for private pleasure, the driver is therefore not insured by the professional association but by the other insurances usual for a motor vehicle (liability, comprehensive, etc.). This also eliminates the requirement for a rollover bar.

Aluminium rims for Porsche golf trolley

Aluminum Rims for Porsche Golf Trolleys – Now it’s rolling

The fascination with Porsche - Porsche drivers are driven by passion. They feel the power that emanates from this brand and identify as "Porsche people".

It's no wonder that Porsche is also active in areas other than automobiles. There is Porsche fashion, Porsche-designed jewelry, and sports equipment, among many other things.

After intensive use, it happened: a broken rim on a golf trolley. Unfortunately, the original plastic rims were no longer available, and besides, you wouldn't be a Porsche driver if you were satisfied with plastic - a Porsche trolley needs real aluminum rims in Porsche design.

Neudert took on this challenge. Made of high-quality aluminum and anodized to withstand all weather conditions, these premium aluminum rims enable the highest cornering speeds and breathtaking acceleration of the trolley - as is customary for a Porsche.

Enjoy the ride - Neudert - now it’s rolling.

Stainless steel toothed belt pulley

Stainless Steel Sprockets: The Pinnacle of Hygiene

Many machines operate in environments where hygiene is paramount, such as food processing and packaging, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. Even in these applications, drives with timing belts and sprockets are commonly used.

However, most standard sprockets are made of aluminum or, at best, uncoated stainless steel. These materials are unsuitable for use in sensitive environments.

Neudert manufactures a wide variety of sprockets tailored to customer requirements, exclusively from stainless steel. We can produce sprockets based on standard designs or according to specific tooth profile standards. Additional requests, such as special geometries, flange discs where they are not typically provided, or other unusual requirements, are no problem for us.

Table plate for saw machine

Tabletop for Saw

A band saw, when cutting parts, dips into the underlying table, leaving an opening in the saw table. If the saw can miter cut, then these are of course many openings at various angles.

The saw manufacturers naturally offer the tabletops as spare parts. However, with a tabletop that is almost as large as a Euro pallet, one can imagine the costs associated with replacing the tabletop.

For a customer, we have developed an intermediate plate, so that the customer can replace only a small plate with a few simple hand movements. Since the costs of the repair are now only a fraction of the original costs, this repair can take place more frequently, which in turn increases the cutting quality due to the better bearing surface of the parts to be sawed.

Lid singulator

Single Lid Feeder - Always Just One

A Neudert partner packages their product in tin cans. For this, there are machines that, after filling the can, press a lid onto the can, in this case a machine from Lanico.

The lids are provided in a stack. The machine wipes the bottom lid off the stack and positions it over the can. Similar to a deck of cards, where you can simply pull out the bottom card.

Now the partner has received new lids that had a depression. As a result, the principle of wiping the lid off the stack no longer worked, as the lids were jammed together.

The solution was a singulator that always dropped only a single lid into the Lanico machine. This device was simply mounted on the machine. The pneumatic drive could be easily connected to the existing pneumatics without the need to modify the original machine.

Bottle twister

Bottle turner - So that replenishment works

A partner of ours packs his liquids and pastes in bottles. These have recently been delivered to him shrink-wrapped upside down. Somehow the bottles have to get into the separator, but preferably without tying up too much capacity.

Neudert developed and built a bottle turner for this purpose. Flanged to the separating stop, it provides a stable hold.

Place the packets of bottles in a tray provided for this purpose and cut off the film all the way round the top.

The box is then pushed into the turntable and rotated through 180°.

After turning, pull out the crate on the other side and remove it together with the film. The bottles are now correctly orientated and unpacked ready to be pushed into the separator.

Neudert - bottle twister - a clever idea to ensure that the bottles don't run out.

Pipe cutting machine

Pipe cutting machine - quickly cut something shorter

One of our partners presented us with another exciting challenge. They need to cut pipes, in this case fittings from beverage kegs, at various heights on construction sites.

This process needs to be quick as a large quantity is always required. The machine should be portable for use on construction sites and have a 220V connection. After cutting, the pipes need to be deburred and then dipped in acid. Safety was, of course, a major concern. The operator should not need to wear additional protective equipment when cutting the pipes, as is required when using an angle grinder.

The result was a small cutting machine delivered in a box. For transport, the machine is placed in the box; for cutting, it is placed on top so that the cut pieces fall neatly into the box. Due to weight considerations, the construction was planned using aluminum.

Cutting is done with a standard cutting disc from an angle grinder, and the length of the tubes can be adjusted using a scale. There is also a deburring wheel. The cutting and deburring processes take place inside the housing, and viewing windows in the housing ensure workplace safety. The acid is contained in a vial on the machine, and the three work steps are carried out from left to right. All tools required for adjusting the machine to different diameters or lengths are provided on the machine.

Cutlet packer

Schnitzel Packer – A Unique Packaging Solution

The desired end product was a pouch containing a viscous paste. But the pouch had to be shaped like a schnitzel (a thin, breaded cutlet), hermetically sealed all around, and die-cut. Since it was a small-scale pre-series to test the market, the goal was not a fully automated system, but rather hand-operated devices to simplify production.

Neudert developed and manufactured various devices. In the first step, a standard transparent pouch was sealed all around, except for a small opening, using a sealing plate shaped like a schnitzel. The paste was then introduced through the small opening. Afterwards, the pouch was hung in a fixture and the last piece was also sealed. Finally, the excess material was cut into the shape of a schnitzel using a band saw outside the seal seam.

All devices were operated manually using levers; the only control on the machine was the heating of the sealing tools. Thus, anyone could perform the work after a brief training session.

Roller conveyor machine

Roller belt machine - pin in the eyelet and ball bearing on top machine

One day we had a visit from a business partner. He came into our office and sat down at the meeting table as usual to have a coffee.

He then placed 2 tapes on the table with 24 eyelets punched out. There were also a few pins and a couple of ball bearings. He leaned back in his chair and said: ‘Mr Neudert, you have to put a pin in each eyelet and a ball bearing on the right and left. I would like to have a strap ready every two minutes.

The result was a ‘pin in the eyelet and ball-bearing plug-in machine’

The belts are placed in a device by hand, pins are placed in a pot and the ball bearings, which are delivered in rolls, are placed in a channel. The door is closed and a belt is completed within 2 minutes.

The belts can be found in the curved handrails of escalators, where the black handrail is deflected by 180° before running back into the floor.

At the customer's request, the machine was designed to be low so that it can be used in a production environment where people with walking disabilities work in wheelchairs.

Cutting machine for dog treats

Dog Treat Slicer – Because Bello Knows Why He Barks

When Commissioner Rex catches a criminal, Lassie saves a child from danger, or Gromit invents something with Wallace, our four-legged friends deserve a reward. For this purpose, there are "dog treats", small bites packed in a bag. Flat little plates in various shapes, just big enough to give our friend a small reward.

To produce them, these bites were extruded as a long strand, which then runs through ovens for baking and drying before being cut into small pieces with a slicing machine.

For this, a suitable slicing machine is required. Developed by Neudert, this machine is tailored to all the needs of our customer. Matching the customer's extruder lines, the machine cuts precisely strong pieces depending on the extrusion speed. Equipped with a roller conveyor to match the customer's transport boxes, transportable and space-saving, the machine combines all the wishes of this customer. Made entirely of stainless steel, the machine meets all the requirements that are common in the production of food.

As a Maschinissimo project, fully tailored to the customer's requirements, other slicing machines can of course differ fundamentally from this one. Conveyor belts, specific feed systems, fixed installations or whatever our customers' hearts desire, will be realized according to your wishes.

Controlled non-woven roll stand

Controlled Nonwoven Fabric Roll Stand – A Big Deal

A nonwoven fabric is processed in a machine designed to handle multiple rolls, each feeding into a separate web.

However, it makes sense to maintain a sufficiently large supply of material. The larger the raw material roll, the longer the processing machine can run continuously without interruption. Therefore, it is more efficient to work with one large roll instead of multiple smaller ones.

Another consideration is that using several individual rolls also leads to increased downtime. Individual rolls run out at different times due to variations in the overall length caused by uneven winding. Either the material from the other rolls is discarded and all rolls are changed as soon as the first one runs out, or the machine must be stopped several times to change each individual roll.

This leads to an idea. If you have a single wide roll, you can wind it to a larger diameter before it becomes unstable. This provides more raw material and allows the machine to run longer. The roll stand can then be equipped to cut the one large roll into multiple webs. This ensures that all webs run out at the same time, allowing you to change all webs at once. The machine can then immediately restart with fresh raw material on all webs without having to discard any material remnants.

Based on our customer's specifications, Neudert has developed and implemented several such roll stands. All of the customer's specific requirements have been adapted to suit their product, their machines, and their local conditions. With the longer running time and the elimination of multiple refills, an efficiency increase of 100% has been achieved with the new roll stands.

Neudert – Maschinissimo roll stands. These are truly big deals.

Cutting machine with separator

Blister Cutting and Separating Machine

A customer is using a deep-drawing machine to produce blisters. Six cavities are drawn in one cycle and then cut off as a strip using a knife within the machine. This strip containing six blisters needs to be cut and separated. An employee takes the strips and feeds them into a machine. The machine detects the blisters and pulls them in. After separating the individual cavities, the six blisters are accelerated at different speeds and sorted one after the other by an inclined plane. Six individual blisters then arrive one after the other for further processing at the next station.

The machine has been designed to suit the customer's specific blisters. The cutting machine is driven by an electric motor. With just a few hand movements, the separator can be detached from the cutting machine if the blisters only need to be separated. Of course, development was carried out taking into account all aspects required for occupational safety, and maintainability was also a priority.

Capsule filling and sealing machine

Capsule Filling and Closing Machine – Speed Was of the Essence

A completely new product, fresh off the development board, needed to hit the market as quickly as possible. That was the challenge Neudert was presented with.

Capsules were to be filled with a powder and then sealed.

Of course, the only way to achieve this was to pull together as a team. The customer, a contract packer, had some equipment on hand, and other components could be quickly sourced. So, all parties involved sat down, each contributed what they could, and the result was a rotary machine with automatic capsule feeding, filling, and closing. The fill level was controlled using a scale.

After a period of just 4 weeks for development, parts manufacturing, and assembly of both new and used components, the machine was ready to go, and within a very short time, the first capsules were available on the market.

A rapid project for a fast-moving product. Together, we managed to make the impossible possible.
